The number one destination in the world according to anyone who cares about these things, Sydney is just stupendous.

Seen on a beautiful day from the deck of a ferry, the city is eye-poppingly beautiful. In fact, a trip here will forever alter your understanding of the word "blue."

But Sydney?s more than just a pretty face. It?s got it all. The only difference is, it?s all more enjoyable here. The shimmering harbor, the fresh air, and laid-back locals all elevate even ordinary pursuits.

Start your visit at the Rocks, the city?s 19th-century port where you can bargain in the weekend market, dine on the waterfront, or grab a pint in a hundred-year-old pub.

At Circular Quay, hop on a ferry bound for Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbor, or Manly Beach. Sydney?s harbor is the most beautiful in the world and its ferry system is one of the greatest travel bargains going.

Although it?s hard to drag yourself inside, there are some great museums to explore. The Australian Museum, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the Powerhouse Museum, located in the 1899 power station for the city?s tram system, are all enjoyable. And if you just can?t bring yourself to be indoors, the Australian National Maritime Museum has 12 vessels docked alongside for you to go aboard.

If you want a little beach action, head for world-famous Bondi, Sydney?s Surf Central. It might be just the ticket after enjoying some of the best restaurants and nightlife in the Southern Hemisphere.

Just save a little something for next time. Because trust us -- you?re going to want to return.
