Here’s one of our favorite packing tips. We learned it from a former flight attendant who’d
been everywhere. Wear disposable clothes on your next long-haul flight.
If you’re like us, by the time you get off a twelve-hour plane
ride, you want to burn the clothes you’re wearing. Not only do you
never to wear those clothes again, you don’t even
want to put them back in your travel bag.

Changes coming to Tripaddiction.
This Labor Day finds us hard at work on Tripaddiction and a couple of
other projects that we‘re developing. Most of our efforts in August
were behind the scenes, so it’s been a while since our last post.
But regular readers will notice that the blog has a new look -- still a
work in progress. We’re making some changes to make the site easier to
use. And we’re finishing up some content that will help you plan the
perfect trip to Kauai.

Credit card-sized tools for travelers.
Back in the day, we never went anywhere without a Swiss Army knife. After all, what could be better than having scissors, tweezers, a screwdriver, a corkscrew, a bottle opener, and a sharp knife all packed into a 3-½ inch package?
We still find our Climber II model indispensable for road trips. But Homeland Security frowns on carrying on knives, no matter how innocuous. And lately, we’ve been trying to carry on our luggage wherever possible.
