Fly to Barcelona for less than half the usual price.

Sagrada FamiliaBarcelona is one of our favorites cities in the world.  As the capital of Catalonia, it’s absolutely one of a kind – as European as it is Spanish.

Blessed with some of the most amazing architecture anywhere, Barcelona is a must-visit for lovers of the Art Nouveau style, known there as “Modernisme.”  In addition to Antoni Gaudi, architects Domenech i Montener and Puig i Cadafalch designed breathtakingly original homes, apartment buildings, gardens, hospitals, and churches.

La Boqueria is one of Europe’s most colorful food markets.  The narrow streets of the Bari Gotic or Gothic Quarter are lined with stylish shops.  And the city’s hip roof bars and Xampanyerias (Champagne bars) are filled with beautiful people until the break of dawn.

If you’ve never been, now’s the time to go.  Because fares from the United States to Barcelona have been deeply discounted.   Yesterday,Gothic Quarter Barcelona Delta offered a roundtrip from LAX to Barcelona for $300, including taxes.  Today, British Airways and Iberia have roundtrips for around $530, which is less than half what you’d ordinarily pay for peak season.  But you’ll have to act fast because fares are changing hourly.
