Recommended accommodations for Barcelona, Catalonia and the Costa Brava

Catalonia Albinoni , Portal del Angel 17, 08002
In 1998, the Rocamora Palace was renovated to create the Catalonia Albinoni (formerly The Hotel Allegro).
The location on one of the Old Town's pedestrian streets is terrific and the tasteful, contemporary interior is a pleasant change from the usual. Request a room away from the street with a mini-terrace. This is a great choice for the money.

Parador de Aiguablava, Platja d?Aiguablava, 17255

The pool overlooks the ocean and water sports, mountain biking, and other activities can be arranged. Active guests should spend a few extra dollars for the "extra special rooms" which include exercise equipment and huge bathrooms.
